Environmental and Social Impact Assessment
CORE Consulting Engineers PLC provides Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) Study for various types of development projects. Our ESIA study involves assessment of the potential environmental and Social impacts of a project on sensitive natural environment with conservation interest on wildlife, vegetation, habitats, ecosystem and biodiversity.
We also assess the potential impacts on erosion, landslides, drainage channels, appropriate scour and erosion control measures and water harvesting, opening and restoration of material sources and plant, forests, parks and pollution of water. And at the end of the EIA, we prepare Environmental Management and Monitoring Plan.
Our EIA study process includes the following steps:
- Data collection: We collect data on the physical, biological, and social environment in the project area.
- ESIA Policy document review: We review relevant environmental policies and regulations.
- Environmental Scoping:We identify the valued and sensitive environmental components potential environmental impacts of the project and the areas that will be affected; define the project Influence area; and inspect proposed alternatives.

- Preparation of Resettlement Action Plan: If the project will require resettlement, we prepare a plan to mitigate the impacts of resettlement on the affected people.
- Baseline Data collection: We collect baseline data on the physical features, biological aspects and social and socio-economic characteristics of the project area.)
- Public Consultation:We consult with the public about the potential environmental impacts of the project.
- Identification of potential environmental Impact:We identify the potential environmental impacts of the project and analyze their significance.
- Proposal of impact mitigation measures and project benefit enhancing measures: We propose measures to mitigate the potential environmental impacts of the project.
- Preparation of environmental management and monitoring plan: We prepare a plan to manage and monitor the environmental impacts of the project.
