Tulubolo Busa, Ginchi Road Project

About the project

CORE Consulting Engineers Plc. (CORE) has successfully executed a comprehensive suite of services for the Tulubolo – Busa – Ginchi Road Project, spanning 69.5 kilometers. This extensive project encompassed various critical phases, starting with the route selection and survey, which was meticulously carried out to identify the optimal path for the new road. CORE conducted thorough feasibility studies and environmental impact assessments to ensure that the project was both viable and environmentally sustainable. These assessments were integral in evaluating potential impacts on local ecosystems and communities, and in formulating strategies to mitigate any adverse effects.

Following the initial evaluations, CORE undertook preliminary engineering design, supported by extensive field investigations to assess soil conditions and identify suitable construction materials. These investigations also covered essential aspects such as drainage, alignment, and pavement design, ensuring a robust foundation for the project’s infrastructure. The detailed engineering design phase involved the creation of precise drawings and specifications, laying the groundwork for the subsequent construction phases. This meticulous planning was crucial in addressing the technical and logistical challenges of the project.

An important component of the project was the preparation of a Resettlement Action Plan, which addressed the needs and concerns of communities affected by the road construction. CORE demonstrated a strong commitment to social responsibility by ensuring that displaced individuals and communities were adequately compensated and resettled. This plan was developed through extensive consultations with stakeholders and was designed to minimize disruptions while maximizing the benefits of the new infrastructure.
